Change the way armor crafting works + more areas to dye.
ARMOR
Being something of a fashion-conscious powergamer, I've always been irked by the fact that good looking armor (starting armor for females minus warriors, energy boosting sets, 15k bonelace, non-Druids ranger sets, etc etc) usually have sub-optimal mods.
What I'd like to see is to have armor crafting remain basically as is except players would be able to choose the style of their armor separately from the mods. So you could have female enchanter's armor with rogue armor mods or have starter armor upgraded to 60 AR at Droknar's and have enchanter's armor mods added. Purchasing upgrades would cost as much as a new piece of armor both in terms of gold and materials necessary. The 15k style would be available in the Grotto and Citadel while the Fissure style would only be available in the Fissure of course.
I know it's a a 'have my cake and eat it too' kind of suggestion, but don't think it'll do any harm Plus it would put all that wasted artwork by A.net to good use. Thoughts?
DYING
Right now players can only dye a limited section of each piece of their armor. Often there's a whole section that can't be dyed such as the leather bra and straps that come with the 15k glads, the lace on the 15k enchanter's, and the black leather boots for the rogue's sets. Would be nice if those sections could be dyed too.
Serves as a bit of an extra gold sink too. Thoughts?
